Robert Woroniecki

BIOGRAPHY

Robert Woroniecki (born May 5th 1956 in Wroclaw, Poland):


                                            Polish tenor

He graduated the Academy of Music in Wroclaw, and earned a master class with Professor Otto Edelmann in Vienna "Hochschule für Musik und Kunst darstellende".

At age 17, he was accepted as a soloist by Song and Dance Group "Walbrzych". During his studies he won the nationwide Russian Music Competition in Katowice and received a special award from the director of the competition - Henryk M. Gorecki. He also won the International Vocal Jan Kiepura Competition.

Before obtaining an Academy diploma he has already debuted as a soloist at the Wrocław Opera House. In 1982, he left Poland and continued his career in Germany (primarily) as well as in other Western European countries. As soloist he has performed in Berlin ("Komische Oper") Aachen, Bonn, Hanover, Nuremberg, Kaiserslautern and Augsburg as well as in many other cities of Europe and abroad. In Opera Bastille in Paris Woroniecki performed as a Calaf in "Turandot" by Puccini and as Pollione in "Norma" by Bellini. As Kalaf in "Turandot" has also starred in "Welsh National Opera" in Manchester and in the "Teatro Arriaga", in Bilbao (1998), where he also performed the title role in "Don Sebastiano" by Donizetti.

Robert Woroniecki participated in two projects prepared by the 'Nationale Reisopera "in the Netherlands (G. Verdi" La forza del destino "1995 - as Don Alvaro, and "Un Ballo in Maschera" in 1996 - as Riccardo), performing in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague . He has performed also Pollione at the summer opera festival in Groningen, by 5,000 people of audience.

The artist has taken part in numerous radio and television recordings. He performed together with Philharmonisches Staatsorchester in the "Grosse Musikhalle" in Hamburg (Caravadossi in "Tosca" and Pinkerton in "Madame Butterfly" by Puccini). Concerts with Robert Woroniecki have been registered in more than thirteen television programs in Brussels and Antwerp. Robert Woroniecki also worked with Südwest Orchestra, Stuttgart Philharmonic, Amsterdam Concertgebouw Orchestra, Orchestra of Polish Radio and Television in Katowice, Polish Television Orchestra in Warsaw and the Hungarian Philharmonic Orchestra.

His repertoire includes works of Beethoven, Bruckner, Bizet, Mendelssohn, Puccini, Rossini and Verdi. Opera repertoire includes more than 30 solos (the list of authors and the role of opera / without operettas and concerts / to find in the site section "Reportoire").
